Papparich- Malaysian restaurant

This review should have been up ages ago, but after what seems like a never ending exchange of a viral bug between the three of us, I am finally back to blogging ( with tissues still in hand). So here I go....

To celebrate our anniversary and my husband's birthday we decided to go to his favourite restaurant. He always had a soft corner for Malaysian food as he studied in Malaysia for about two years and when we found Papparich, well, it became his number one favourite places to go to. Papparich is an international Malaysian chain and they have opened up in Sydney. I am going to list a few things about this place and show you what we ordered, maybe you could go there for a weekend meal.

About the place:
  • It revolves around the idea of Malaysian street food.
  • Staff are friendly and the serving is quick.
  • On weekends there is a long waiting line so book a table or go before 6:30pm if you do not want to wait.
  • Food and drinks never fail to satisfy!
  • You can park in Westfield mall, Parramatta or there is a secured parking down the road.
  • A look at their menu.
  • You can also call and order for a take away if you do not feel like a dine-in.

What we ordered clockwise from top left : Roti Telur Bawang with chicken curry, Roti Telur with chicken curry, Prawn Goreng, Teh Tarik and Fried Chicken.

Our favourites to order:
The rotis are yummy and our regular drink is Teh Tarik (milk tea), it is so sweet and tastes delicious my two years old can never get enough of it. The banana roti with ice cream is our favourite dessert!

Every place has its Cons and I am going to list a few for Papparich:
  • It is definitely not child friendly as the space is not roomy enough
  • During peak hours, which is mostly on weekends, they rush you to leave in a subtle way which can get annoying.
But do go and enjoy a bit of Malaysia, truly Asia ;)
